Concrete Renovation and Polyurethane Installation in Vilnius Parking Garage by Polimaris
The parking garage in Vilnius has undergone an excellent renovation to restore the strength of the concrete and protect it from salt-induced damage. The entire structure had suffered significantly from salt exposure, causing the concrete to deteriorate. Polimaris, together with its partners, provided a comprehensive solution for this project, which included the following stages:
Concrete Renovation
First, the carbonation process that accelerates the degradation of the concrete was halted. Corroded reinforcement was then partially replaced, and new concrete was poured to restore the integrity and strength of the structure.
Surface Preparation and Cleaning
After the renovation, the surfaces were cleaned using a shot blaster to ensure optimal preparation for the application of the polyurethane system.
Priming with Mapei Primer
Before applying the polyurethane, we primed the surfaces with Mapei primer. Priming ensures better adhesion between the substrate and the polyurethane, which is essential for achieving a strong and durable final result.
Polyurethane Installation
We applied the Purtop 1000 pure polyurethane system using a spray robot, which provides excellent protection and durability. Additionally, an anti-slip layer was applied to ensure safety and resistance to traffic loads.
The entire work was carried out in three stages, covering a total area of 30,000 m². Polimaris is proud to have been involved in this significant project, providing the best solutions for long-term durability and safety.
