Silver Whisper and Sister Silver Shadow are RINA class passenger ships. Upgrading these ships was focused on improving safety. Studio D’Inginier Navale Ing. Mario Nattero, together with Polimaris decided to use of special buoyancy hydrophobic PUR rigid foam.
PUR rigid foam was dispended in DRY 8C and DRY 6C parts of ships. It increased the strength, stability, buoyancy of the ship.
During the project, a great deal of attention was paid to the proper organization of work in order not to interfere with the work of the ship’s crew. 2 months of consistent planning and preparation allowed the project to complete in dry dock and on board during incredibly short time in 20 days.
